One of the most paying business activities currently is selling food stuffs. Be it tomatoes, onions, cucumber, carrots, fish, dagaa among many other foods stuffs that people consume daily. Currently the business that can earn you good amount is supplying dagaa to business women, big cities in Kenya like Mombasa, Nairobi among many other towns. This is because if you buy you dagaa around lake Victoria region and transport them to those cities mentioned earlier the price per kg will increase. There is also a high demand of dagaa in such areas due to high population, high population will increase the demand of any food stuffs since those people who stay in those areas also need food.
In areas near lake regions like Kisumu, Homabay, Migori among other places the cost of dagaa is roughly 150 shillings. In areas like Mombasa and Nairobi it cost roughly 200 shillings per kgs. Therefore it means that if you buy your dagaa in Kisumu and supply them in those areas you will make a profit of roughly 50 shillings per kgs.
To Start this business you need roughly 30,000 shillings to 50,000 shillings, this includes the transport you will use when supplying your dagaa.
It can be a tiresome work but ones you have established friendship with the business men in areas where you will be supplying then you can only buy and send to them as a parcel. You can do that through the matatu or any other trusted means you feel like.
With this business you can make a good amount of money provided that you are will to put more effort.
