1. Lots of sugar that is toxic to our bodies

So eating one or two small scoops of ice cream can easily put you over that daily limit. Research also shows that too much sugar can lead to several health problems such as heart disease, diabetes and fatty liver.

2. It does not tolerate lactose

Some people may have problems with ice cream because it is made from dairy products and contains lactose, which is milk sugar. People with lactose intolerance do not have enough lactase, the enzyme needed to digest lactose. If they eat ice cream, they can have stomach problems including irritable bowel syndrome. If you cannot digest lactose, you may be able to eat ice cream if you take a lactase supplement. You can also replace the ice cream with a similar frozen food made with soy milk or another milk substitute.
