KDF Taekwondo Team Takes Part in Philanthropic Work in Huruma(Photos)

Kenya Defence Forces Ulinzi Taekwondo Team today took part in a philanthropic work at Mother Teresa Children's Home in Huruma in Nairobi County.

The KDF team was received by sister Maria Salome who took them at a tour of the facility where they interacted with differently abled children.

The team donated items such as bar soaps, diapers, rice, maize flour, wheat flour, tissues, cooking oil and a token of appreciation.

Joshua Mwange, the 2nd lieutenant was representing the officer incharge and passed greetings from the base commander , Moi Airbase where he noted the act as a service to the country.

"This event is conducted annually by the Taekwondo team in remembrance of the less privileged in the society and as a thanksgiving gesture,” Mwangombe said.

Also present during the event were, Warrant Officer Class One (WO1) Elkanah Nyang’au and other Service members.
