His name is Martin Dunford. He was born in 1952 and raised in Nairobi. He holds a bachelor of science in Hospitality and Management from Surrey University in England. The hardworking entrepreneur is a father of three sons who are thriving in International sporting activities.
Martin is the current chairman of Tamarind group of restaurants in Kenya and the owner of the famous Carnivore restaurant along Lang'ata road in Nairobi county. He worked for Hilton hotels before venturing in his own hospitality businesses. When working as a Managing director at Tamarind, Martin went to Brazil and when he came back, he came with the idea of Carnivore.
He established the restaurant in 1980 with an aim of serving people with grilled meat famously known as Nyamachoma of different kinds of animals and also offer stages for hosting live events like Churchill Show. The restaurant is still operating and even it has a club called Carnivore Simba Saloon for entertainment purposes.
