Fruits that can be hard to find at your local market as they are some of the rarest in the World.

Some fruits are so rare that most people have never even heard of them.It would be an arduous task trying to find them at your local market place as they have to be imported, sometimes from faraway continents.They can be considered as being super fruits due to their immense nutritional value.

The Jack fruit.

It is a tropical fruit tree grown in parts of Asia, South America and Africa.Caretenoids, the pigments that give it its pigment are rich in Vitamin A, C, Riboflavin, Magnesium, fiber.It is therefore good in improving vision, preventing eye cataracts and macular degeneration due to Vitamin A, boosting immunity and getting the body rid of free radicals due to Vitamin C.It can also help prevent cancer and heart diseases.


*Mangosteen.

It grows in parts of SouthEast Asia and is dark purple or red with its pulp slightly acidic and sweet.Though quite rare, it is a fruit rich in Vitamins C, B9, B1, Riboflavin, folate, Manganese, Copper, Magnesium and is also low in calories.It can aid in blood sugar control, weight management, promotes a healthy immune system, while its anti inflammatory properties can reduce inflammation and prevent cancer.


*Rambutan.

A medium sized tropical tree in the family Sapindaceae native to Southeast Asia.They are furry, bright red fruits with a creamy center and are rich in Vitamin C which is a potent antioxidant, folate essential for healthy cell divison and DNA replication, fiber,important in digestion, Vitamin B5 which is important for helping convert food into energy.Are also rich in potassium, cholime, vitamin A and calcium.


*Jabuticaba.

It is the edible fruit of the Brazilian grape tree.It is native to the coastal forests and hilly regions of southern Brazil and is rich in calcium, potassium, magnesium and potent antioxidants, anti inflammatory and anti aging agents and can prevent cancer, improve heart health, bone health, lung health, skin health and the body's overalk health.


*Miracle fruit.

It is an evergreen shrub that grows in West Africa and its culinary usage dates back to the 18th century.It's berry, leaf and seed oil are used as medicine and is an amazing source of vitamins A, C, K, E and is also low on calories.It is important for fighting both viral amd bacterial infections, diabetes control, obesity and imoroving taste disturbances in people undergoing chemotherapy and treatment for other conditions.
