Make Your Githeri Taste Even Better With These Simple Steps

In the field of cooking, there are may different ways of cooking one specific recipe but we'll go for the easiest one.

The easiest way to make githeri is by boiling the maize and beans and you're good to go, but to make it tastier, follow the method below.

For the ingredients we go in with:

1. Boiled mixture of maize and beans( desired amount)

2. Potatoes (desired amount/ optional) medium size cubes

3. 3-4 large tomatoes cubed

4. 1large onion chopped

5. 1 large bellpepper, corriander

6. 5 pieces of garlic, medium sized ginger ground

7. Curry powder/ royco/ jumbo

8. 3 tablespoons tomato paste

9. Salt to taste

10. 1/4 cup cooking oil


1. In a cooking pot add oil, once hot add the onions and fry till golden brown then add garlic-ginger paste.

2. Add tomatoes, bellpeppers, tomato paste, salt, curry powder, mix well then cover for 2-3 minutes.

3. Add the potatoes, mix well then add small amount of water. At this point, you can add the boiled maize-beans mixture or you can wait till the potatoes is almost cooked to add the mixture. Finally add the corriander and our meal is ready

Serve hot with avocado
