How To Get Your Taste Buds Back Past Covid

I don't know about others but my food time is one of my sacred pleasures in life and having that interfered with is a no no.

Eating your food but being unable to taste and enjoy it is frustrating .

Old people suffer from loss of taste but with covid 19 some of the symptoms many have come out complaining about is the loss of taste, with some even claiing it has been 6 months and they still don't have their sense of taste back.

Frustrating, isn't it?

Well there are certain steps and changes one can make in the kitchen to improve their sense of taste and overall wellness.

Foods To Eat To Improve Taste Buds

1 Ginger

2 Garlic

3 Cinnamon

4 Lemon and Lime . Suck on them

5 Oranges

6 Decorate your plate with different food textures. From grains, to smooth fruits like avocado , fried fish , kachumbari etc.

The more different flavors and textures , the better. This will work it's different magic on your different taste buds

7 Try different food recipes than the one you are always used to . Train and exercise your taste buds

8 Eat food at room temperature /when it's cold

9 Oil Pulling. Use coconut oil. Put a spoonful of coconut oil in your mouth and gargle in your mouth . Let it sit there for 10-30 minutes then spit it out .

10 Antibiotics / medication. Most if not all lose their sense of taste from being sick with the cold. Use the right medication recommended by your doctor

11 Take smoothies when eating is difficult.

12 Avoid smoking as well since it burns and changes your taste buds after a prolonged usage.

13 Scrap your tongue

14 Drink lots of water and teas

15 Stay safe and follow the regulations
