In different parts of the country, prices of food stuffs are either high or low depending on the demand. We are going to look at maize,meat and beans in some of the counties.
The price of maize is seen to decrease due to the harvesting period but is expected to rise upon cultivation and weeding seasons.
In Siaya Market, the price of purchasing two kilograms of maize is seventy five shillings while at Busia is seventy shillings. A ninety kilograms bag of maize is sold at two thousand five hundred shillings in both counties.
In Kakamega, specifically Khayega market, one kilogram of raw beef meat is sold at three hundred and twenty shillings while in Mumias market it is sold at three hundred and sixty shillings.
In most counties, the price of a kilogram of beans is sold at a price range of one hundred and thirty shillings to one hundred and fifty shillings.
