What you need:
1 cup sugar
¾ cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 tsp vanilla essence
1½ cup warm milk
1½ cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
pinch of salt
Beat sugar and butter together to form a uniform and fluffy mixture.
To the mixture add vanilla essence and milk. Mix well till a smooth consistently is reachead.
Take a sieve and sieve the flour, the cocoa powder, the baking powder, the baking soda and salt pinch of salt in a separate bowl.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and fold in gently to avoid removing the air spaces formed mixture of the wet ingredients.Make sure no lumps are left in.
Pour the batter in a greased and dusted baking tin and put it in a preheated oven.
Bake the cake at 180 degree celsius for 40-50 minutes.
Poke a knife and if it comes out dry then it's ready. If not, give it a little more time.
Once its ready, let it cool down. There you have your yummy chocolate cake to enjoy.
