In his regular tours across the country and campaign functions in his Karen residence, William Ruto always appears with a top-notch sense of fashion. Of late he has put aside the regular American style of suit and tie and adopted the African Ankara shirts. The person behind the good-looking Ankara shirts that his followers can't stop admiring is a Mombasa-based beautiful Kalenjin lady.
Chemutai Kurgat is her name and having gotten the golden chance of dressing the second in command is a blessing she says. She revealed that after going public about her dressing the deputy president, UDA supporters thronged to her shop. They too want to get a shirt similar to that of the 'Chief Hustler'.
Chemutai runs a shop in Mombasa named Chemuz Ankara and body shop, recently when the DP visited the coast region. She for the first time had a golden chance of meeting a long-time client, DP William Ruto. Chemutai couldn't hide her happiness saying despite being a long-time client, his visiting the place blew it all. She says that she believes in what she does. She further encouraged everyone to keep doing what they do with dedication for they don't know who is watching.
"Keep doing what you are doing with dedication cos you never know who is watching. we at Chemu'z Ankara & Body Shop were honored and humbled to present to our beloved Deputy President beautiful Ankara and UDA shirts, " she says.
She sources her materials from Dubai, Rwanda, and Nigeria. Her tailors are from congo. Apart from being the dresser of the second in command, she also boasts of dressing other great leaders, former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko, Chama ya Mapatano party leader Damaris Too, Mithika Linturi just to mention a few.
She recently opened another branch at Eldoret graced by the governor Jackson Mandago. With all the above mentioned she says is a blessing from God for her business has made her dine with kings.
