Natural hair refers to that which is in its original form and has not been altered by chemicals as well as heat. A good number of African women believe that African hair does not grow. Some ladies have however proven this wrong through pictures they share on their social media walls.
One thing that they need to delete from their minds as Joanne a hair enthusiast says, is products do not grow hair. A good hair care routine matters if you need your hair to thrive.
Joanne is the founder of Grow African Hair Long, a Facebook group with goals of helping ladies on how to take care of their edges, length and volume hair through ways she has employed in growing hers to the waist length.
Joanne encourages wearing protective hair styles that do not strain the edges in anyway, sleeping in satin bonnets or head scarfs, washing at least weekly for a healthy scalp and trimming split ends to avoid knots.
African women need to embrace their hair because it is the most beautiful crown that a lady can have.
