In this article, I would enlighten all my readers on how to use our body lotion perfectly well to eradicate our skin condition.

One may ask, what is a body lotion or moisturizer? A body lotion is a topical preparation that is used for application to the body or skin by using cotton wool or bare hands with the intent to treat your skin conditions or as a moisturizer.

Body lotion takes formulation with a bit of oil and mostly water, whiles a moisturizer are a spectrum from water to Vaseline- with lotions. So, a lotion can be a moisturizer.

This moisturizer has a medication in it to prevent or treat scaly, rough, dry, itchy and minor skin irritation.

Lotion has substances Emollients and Humectants.

Emollients; are substances that soften and moisturize the skin and also decrease flaking and itching. For example, products like ( white petrolatum, zinc oxide)are used mostly against skin irritation. Emollients work by forming oily substance leading your skin that trap water in the skin.

Humectants: draws water into the outer layer of the skin, humectants include glycerin, lecithin, and propylene glycol.

How To Use Body Lotion Appropriately

1. Use this product as directed. Some products require priming before use, and also check the label to see if you should shake the bottle well before use.

2. How often you apply the medication or moisturizer will depend on the product and your skin condition.

3. use the product every time you wash your hands to treat dry hands condition or applying it throughout the day.

4. In treating diaper rash, clean the diaper area well before use and allow the area to dry before applying the product.

5. For radiation skin burns, check with radiation personnel to see if your brand can be applied before radiation therapy.

6. Apply to the skin only. Avoid sensitive areas such as nose, eyes, inside your mouth, and vaginal or groin area, unless the label or your doctor directs otherwise.

7. Use moisturizers regularly to get the most benefit out of it.

Most moisturizer need water to work effectively. Apply the product after bathing or showering. For very dry skin, your doctor may instruct you to soak the area before application. Hot or warm frequent bathing can worsen skin condition.
