The 20-year old shared photos of her new hairstyle on her social media page where she enjoys an audience of approximately one million people.
The photo sparked a lot of reaction among her followers and within a short while it had spread and gone viral on social media.
As if she knew the uproar that the photo would cause, Azziad's caption indicated that she does not care about what other people think about her.
It would seem that she had jumped into defensive mode before even the matter blew up.
"Of course your opinion matters☺️ Just not to me," Azziad's caption on the photo read.
The majority of social media users seemed to hold the opinion that Azziad does not look good in the new hairstyle.
They noted that she should change it or better still wear a wig.
The comment section got even more interesting when popular comedian Flaqo who is also a close friend of Azziad commented with laughing emojis.
The netizens interpreted his comment to mean that he was laughing at Azziad.
There were, however those who came out to support and defend Azziad.
They argued that the actress has her own personal life and should be allowed to do things the way she likes.
According to tot them, if she was comfortable in the hairstyle then she would not be criticized because of it.
Azziad is one of the most sought after and followed Kenyan celebrities.
