Home Remedies To Treat Cracked Feet.

Heel fissures, commonly known as cracked feet, occur when the skin of the heel dries up and thickens, making it rough and prone to cracking. In extreme situations, the fissures may bleed, making it uncomfortable to walk or stand. Here are some home treatments for cracked feet that you may apply to heal the skin and stop it from cracking again in the future, as recommended by Healthline.

1)Dunk your feet into a bowl of warm water.

As the skin will be softer, sloughing off the dead skin will be less of a chore. Soak your feet in warm water for 15 to 20 minutes while adding Epsom salt or apple cider vinegar to the water to exfoliate the skin and increase circulation, and then dry them completely with a towel.

When you have exfoliated your feet, moisturise them well with a rich cream or petroleum jelly. This will prevent future cracking by locking in moisture.

2.Mask your feet with a mixture of honey and coconut oil.

Apply the honey and coconut oil combination (about a tablespoon of each) to your feet and let it sit for 20-30 minutes before rinsing off with warm water.

3.Drinking plenty of water will help keep your skin moisturised from the inside out, and eating foods rich in vitamins A, C, and E can assist promote healthy skin.

If you take good care of your feet, you can avoid getting any cracks in the skin and have soft, supple feet all year long.
