He says that after opening the 'kinyozi' he used fliers and social media to inform customers who thought it was an ordinary barbershop forcing him to invent the use of an axe to shave his clients.
He says he uses an axe as a way to woo customers who want a different experience other than the ordinary barber machine.
"When I told people that I shave with an axe, many people wanted to know how it is done forcing them to flood my 'kinyozi'. Some agreed while others refused. "Julius says.
Before shaving, like any other machine, Julius passes the axe through an UV sterilizer to kill bacteria and fungi to prevent infections from one person to another.
"At times customers are so nervous of the harm the axe can do to them, you will hear them tell you to be careful not to injure their ears and the neck when shaving the beards." He adds.
Kennedy Mwangi, a customer at Clippers Barbershop says its a good experience being shaved with an axe adding that before he was nervous of what Julius would do if he refuses to pay for the services.
David Okoch says that at first he was not sure how an axe would be used to shave but Mwangi convinced him to a point he agreed to be shaved using the axe. He adds that he was afraid that the axe would fall and injures his legs.
