Most politicians usually prefer wearing suits when attending functions or even when carrying out their daily office duties. That goes for many of them including President William Ruto.

Ruto’s suit designer Ashok Sunny has revealed that suits always require a lot of work and a piece for a dignitary can cost up to Ksh. 1 million. Ashok says that there are many activities and a lot of work that goes into the making of a suit.

Ashok says that the cost of designing suits for President William Ruto starts from taking measurements to delivering complete suit for the Head of State. He says that all that work can take a duration of a month to ensure that everything is nicely done and complete.

He says that those tailors and designers who take only a week to make a suit are cons and usually do shoddy work. He says the work involve about 5,000 hand stitches and there is no way that can be done in less than a week.

“Making a piece of suit takes a lot of work and usually takes me 1 month to finish a piece. This is because a suit will require 5,000 hand stitches. All the designers who claim that can be done in less than a month are cons and don’t do good jobs for their customers,” Ashok has said.
