It was reported that the man was checking after some goats at Holugho area in Ijara Sub-County before the incident happened.
He is now pleading to be paid by the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) following the attack.
Kenya Wildlife Service officer dealing with human-wildlife, Grace Nzale, noted that the they will carryout their probes on the attack and communicate soon.
The latest report comes only three days after a 26-year-old man from the same region was attacked by hippopotamus on Monday.
Farha Ethow Siyat local administrator stated that the Mahat Miskok Adat, was approached and attacked by the animals at about 10am near the river.
The hippos inflicted grievous bodily harm on his back.
Health workers at Garissa Hospital told the press that Adat will be taken to another facility for specialised treatment as a result of the serious injuries he sustained during the attack.
His uncle, Said Mohamud, confirmed that they have sent their pleas to the Kenya Wildlife Service team.
