Kitale town is found in Trans Nzoia county. It is the head quarter of the county government of Trans Nzoia. It is found in a hot and wet climate with serene and conducive environment suitable for poultry farming, livestock keeping and crop growing.
The first Unique place in this town is Ndura farm, it is found on your way from kitale to kapenguria. It is well located as the area receives enough rainfall thus there is enough pasture for livestocks. It a tourist attraction site and therefore, visitors from other countries and also in this country, do visit these place to explore the nature. Ndura farm is mainly known for animals with disabilities, lame animals are preserved and natured at this place for their survival. Research shows that, some animals were born with disabilities and others was do to accidents. It is also a refreshment area as there is a 3km nature walk where where you will explore different formations such as, how ox bore lakes were formed. Wild animals such as leopards, hyenas, lions and elephants are also preserved here to prevent the extinction of these species.
Another unique place is the Kitale Museum which is centrally located. It is also a tourist attraction site, as artifacts such as pots, drums among many others which were used by the early man are preserved here. Animal skulls and different species of snakes are also preserved here to prevent their extinction. It is a refreshment area as it has a swimming pool with Amerigo round where people do enjoy themselves from.
