Stag beetle is currently the most expensive insect in the world for it's cost is 9.7 million Kenya shillings, stag beetle though is very rare in some parts of the world is known to be a very friendly insect to the environment, it actually feeds on dead woods where they broke them down and return the nutrients present in the woods back to the soil, the insect never attacks living plants.
One of the things that make them to be expensive is the fact that it is a good environment conserver and also to prevent people from carelessly killing them, many countries in the world especially in Europe have set in place heavy penalties such as heavy fines for those who might be found guilty of killing the insects.
The insect is some times used by scientists in their research for it is believed that they have several special features.
