Just a day after the Roots Party Presindential candidate Professor George Wajackoyah launched his crazy 10-point manifesto's, the Union of Veterinary Practitioners, Kenya - UVPK has now heavily slammed the Wajackoyah's manifesto which seems to be highly targeting wild animals.

Inside the Wajackoyah's manifesto, they will export dogs meat together with hyenas meat and testicles in the event they are lucky to get into power. However, Wajackoyah's manifesto has received heavy backlash from all corners with UVPK being the latest group to criticize his manifesto.

According to UVPK, Wajackoyah's mentality that Kenyans can trade wildlife products is like posing a threat to the existence of wild species. According to UVPK, If this comes to happen, it will therefore be contravening against the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wildlife laws which regulates and protects the survival of wild species.

Additionally, while taking an example of the current Coronavirus pandemic which reportedly originated from Wuhan, China as a result of wild products, UVPK warns of more disasters in future that will come as a result of spilling over of viruses, bacteria and parasites that attack the hyenas and snakes if the Manifestos will be implemented.

"As you may be aware, the COVID-19 originated in Wuhan market in China as a result of trade in wildlife products. Kenyans should be prepared for a surge in zoonotic diseases such as Rabies, Brucellosis, Leptospirosis, Yersiniosis, Campylobacterosis, Salmonellosis, Cryptosporidiosis, Giardiasis, pathogenic E. coli, Toxoplasmosis and Echinococcosis among others should trade in Hyena products be legalized under Wajakoyas government," part of UVPK paragraph reads.

UVPK has now urged Wajackoyah to do through consultations before making recommendations that poses a threat to the life's of not only animals but also human beings.

"We urge Prof Wajakoya to consult closely with the Veterinary Professionals before making proposals that are impractical, un-implementable and which may jeopardize the existence of our wild animals," another statement reads.
