Narok senator Ledama Olekina on 11th January afternoon sparkled mixed reactions online after daring Bomet County Government to proceed with their previous plan of relocating Mau forest management.
Bomet County is seeking to have two Mau blocks transferred from Narok to Bomet considering that they're under Narok ecosystem.
However talking via his official Twitter handle, Ledama who is allied to the ODM party spelled war on those who are seeking to transfer the management to Bomet.
" I see some people daydreaming about the Mau Forest …this is our land and territory…I dare you to transfer its management to Bomet Ndio Mtajua hamjui! Nonsense!!!", Olekina wrote.
Ledama's statement comes off following Bomet governor Hillary Barchok's call on Kenya Forest Service to help in making major changes to Nyangores and Nyairotia blocks.
According to Barchok, transferring Narok's Mau forest blocks to Bomet will easy managing resources.
It's evident that Ledama Olekina is against Barchok's move and is ready to do everything in ensuring that the Narok ecosystem is not altered.
Olekina's statement however raised mixed reactions from Kenyans online who seem to be in line with his stance on Barchok's directive.
Meanwhile, let us wait and see what happens next.
