Death is inevitable and animals like human beings must pass through process. A weird culture to ensure that in case of death of a baby camel, the mother continues to produce the milk for the farmer has been shared by Mohammed Wehliye in his Twitter account.
According to Wehliye,in the pastoralist communities, when the mother lost the baby and the pastoralists need milk,Maqqar Saar is applied.
"This is called Maqqar Saar. The mother lost a baby and the pastoralists need milk." Mohammed tweeted.
He further says that for the camel to continue producing milk, the hide of it's baby(dead) is preserved and and placed on top of another baby camel to fool the mother.
"For it to continue to produce milk, the hide of it's baby(dead) is preserved and placed on top of another baby camel to fool the mother." Wehliye wrote.
The mother of the dead young camel then smells the hide of her lost baby and then she is milked.
