Daring Monkeys Attack Villagers in Search Of Food And Water In Mandera

More than 200,000 people risk starvation in Mandera County after daring Monkeys and wild animals in the region strive to survive due to drought. The monkeys are said to be attacking women and children in their huts forcefully taking their meals.

According to Citizen Tv, the monkeys and baboons have been attacking and fighting women to steal food for survival. Although the county provides one lorry of water every month, residents say that the water is not safe for consumption.

Residents have been forced to share some of their foods which in most cases is never enough with the animals so as to avoid sudden attacks. The constantly show up in the afternoons and evenings for food.

Residents are calling out to the government for assistance as they relocate to other regions of the country. The Northern part of the country is killing both man and humans due to drought.
