Mt. Longonot is a mountain in Kenya located in the outskirts of Naivasha. Most of world animals like birds like to make habitat there. However, a raging fire has destroyed part of the mountain. The fire that purportedly started yesterday is still burning.
According to reports as seen by Nation, the fire fighters and Kenya Wildlife Service are working tooth and nail to make sure they extinguish the fire. However, looks like their efforts are being dragged behind by the continuing fire.
According to them, what is causing the delay and increasing the fire is the blowing wind. The wind is making the fire to circulate do fast which is a norm of wild fires.
However, they were optimistic that their efforts will bear some fruits. They promised to continue working hard to put out the fire. They also encouraged Kenyans who may be around to keep safe.
