The ‘Utawezana?’ clip owner says she started recording and uploading content on Tiktok in 2019 after receiving a worthy 19th birthday present from her aunt, an iPod phone.
Born and raised in Kakamega County, Nasenya says she started honing her acting and stage performances like solo verses in primary school.
An alumnus of St Cecilia Girls Secondary in Webuye, Bungoma County, the 21-year-old says she went into theatre auditions and plays in 2018 immediately after her O’Level the previous year.
Appearing on national television last evening, the budding actor said she shot to fame after uploading a few short clips including ‘Okonkwo Utawezana?’ on Tiktok in August 2019 after downloading the app from Google Play Store.
She told her audience that she did Broadcast Journalism from Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC) in Nairobi, adding that she also co-hosts a morning show on a local radio station.
The talkative Azziad Nasenya confides that she desired acting and being on TV from an early age, adding that she is eyeing Hollywood.
Some of her Tiktok clips surpassed borders and went viral in countries like India, Mexico, and Canada, she said, earning her huge social media following.
Nasenya says she lives alone and does all household chores by herself, adding that naughty as she may look, she is humble, tender and understanding.
She chastised online bullies, reminding them that to be kind does not cost anything, just as being rough and coarse does not pay.
