"My voice, our equal future”

As we celebrate The International Day of the Girl Child tomorrow, I marked the celebrations today at Kawangware with hundreds of young girls from Dagoretti North Constituency to advocate for the attainment of their basic human rights like education and bodily autonomy.

Teen years are very challenging and counselling can change the narrative of the adolescent experience, and give them a strong foundation as they approach adulthood.

Under my initiative OMANGA CARE, I distributed Sanitary pads, pantys and organised for counselling/mentorship session for the girls.

I want to thank SIMAMA DADA for the amazing support and really pushing hard the Girl child factor.#MamaMiradi"

Millicent Omanga shared the photos for the day, but there is one photo in which she was spotted dancing the Jerusalema dance. This photo sparked reactions as fans trolled her.
