BBC: Testimony That Led To Sentencing of Robert Kelly

The superstar R Kelly was finally for 30 years in jail for sexual abuse. One victim of the accused made a tearful statement outside the court in New York City. This was because she was happy for justice had been administered.

Many other survivors of the criminal explained their painful experiences in the hand of the artists.

R Kelly whose really name is Robert Sylvester Kelly was charged with using his fame to abuse women sexually. One victim said that she would have died because of the things that were done to her.

US District Judge Ann Donnelly said that the artist used sexual violence as a weapon to mistreat his victims and also spread sexually transmitted diseases. She finally said that R Kelly taught his victims that love is violence. Which should not be the case.

A former back up singer of R Kelly expressed her joy since she could not believe that the judicial system would defend black and brown women. This was confirmed by BBC News .

This is a lesson to learn people should use their fame in a proper way not to harm others.
