Earlier today, flamboyant city lawyer Donald Kipkorir hosted a lavish birthday party for South Korea Ambassador Mwende Mwinzi at his posh residence in Karen.
Kipkorir took to social media and shared photos of the memorable party that was attended by family and friends. Everything was on point from the tasteful décor that consisted of dazzling lights and flowers to the sumptuous food and wine that was served to the guests.
The guests also picked the best outfit for the party. The renowned lawyer said that Mwende Mwinzi flew back to Kenya amid travel restrictions just to celebrate her 50th birthday in style. He further noted that it was a privilege to host the party.
"Today, our Ambassador to South Korea Amb. Mwende Mwinzi turned 50 ... She flew back to Kenya just celebrate her birthday & I had a privilege of hosting her. South Korea is the 3rd largest consumer market in the world after China & US," Kiprokir posted on his Facebook page.
Mwenze Mwinzi was appointed by President Kenyatta as Kenya's ambassador to South Korea in 2019. Her appointment caused a heated debate in the National Assembly because she holds dual citizenship. But in her defense, she said that her American citizenship was acquired by birth.
Some Mps wanted her to renounce her US Citizenship before taking up the post but court ruled in her favour.
Here are photos of Mwende Mwinzi's lavish birthday party that was held at Donald Kipkorir's residence in Karen.
