At some point, their relationship turned too ugly, forcing Leila Kayondo to report her husband to police. When the fights became unbearable, Leila walked out in 2016.
Leila then took the route of disconnecting herself to ex husband, warning the public from asking her questions about her trouble ridden marriage. Despite her warning, questions about SK Mbuga keeps popping any time she appears in media for interviews.
During her last interview, the 'Awo' hitmaker claimed she does not know SK Mbuga. According to her, she suffered memory loss following the death of several members of her family in 2020. She cited that her memory loss was as a result of the depression and trauma she suffered.
She stated, “Who is he? The problem I got is that I lost my parents. It seems I got a memory loss.”
These statements ignited reactions online, some citing that it is the nature of females to disown their former lovers when the relationship ended. According to some netizens, they would also go the same direction as Leila, arguing that the end of a relationship marks the end of every connection.
It is important to note that Leila has just returned from the United States of America where she had been to regain her mental wellness.
