Popular musician Sam Kinuthia is currently mourning the death of his mother who has since been identified as Wairumu.
Without disclosing the cause of death, Mwago Wa Gikuyu page took social media to reveal that she is no more.
"The mother to the late Musician Sam Kinuthia, Maitu Wairimu has passed on. Sam Kinuthia regularly made reference of his beloved mother (Wairimu) in most of his songs. May she rest in peace," reads the post.
Kenyans on Facebook have flocked the comment section to join the musician in mourning the death of his mum. Kenyans have asked him to take heart as the family comes to terms with her death.
This comes barely hours after a Kikuyu Benga Musician Albert Gacheru was reported dead while receiving treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital in Nairobi. While the cause of his death has not been established, he died at the age of 59. He will missed and remembered for his contributions to the music industry.
