The Only Person Who Was Allowed to Call Queen Elizabeth By Her Name is African, Here's Who and Why

It is prohibited to address Queen Elizabeth by her name. In fact, if you happen to share a meal with her, it is forbidden to sit or start eating before she does and you have to address her as "Your Majesty".

However, there is only one person in the world who was privileged to address The Queen by her name. The late South African president Nelson Mandela was the only person accorded this privilege.

According to an article via Per Hello Magazine, her daughter disclosed that her late father used to address the Queen as " Lizzie".

The Queen once visited South Africa in 1995, a tour which was one of a kind.

It is believed that both were close allies as witnessed the the writing of the late South Africa's assistant: ‘On a visit to Britain, I was struck by the warm friendship between Madiba and the Queen."

Their close relationship gave him the privilege of addressing the Queen in an amicable way.
