Homeboyz Radio Fined A Huge Amount Of Money And A Six Month Ban Of The Breakfast Show

Communication Authority of Kenya has fine Homeboyz Radio a huge amount of money because of the words its presenters Shaffie Weru, Dj Joh and Neville uttered during their morning breakfast show.

This has happened after the show went viral showing the three presenters giving their point of view on what happened to a girl who was allegedly thrown from the twelfth floor of a building by a man she met on facebook after their date went sour.

They were heard discussing on how ladies should not fall into traps of people they meet on social media without knowing their background.

These words were so unbearable to some and caused waves of mixed reactions from netizens. East Africa Breweries Limited was the first to call off anything to do with the radio station by not advertising on the radio. Unless the station deals with the three perpendicularly.

Following the threats from such a big company the radio had no option other than calling of the responsibility the three were offering and firing them.

Recently the C.A.K has penalized the radio station with a one million kenya shillings and six months suspension on the morning breakfast show hosted by the three. It therefore means the station will not be functional in the morning hours.

Many political and social media figures have shared their view on the issue. Senator Millicent Omanga has said what happened to the trio is a lesson to other people who think of doing the same.

On the other hand former kiss fm presenter has said there is nothing bad in what the three said and it was a hard punishment for them because it is what happens in the society.
