The verdict "He shot Her" Lanez faces 22 years imprisonment for shooting Megan Thee Stallion 🤕🤕

On Friday 23rd December 2022, Los Angeles Jury Found rapper Tory Lanez guilty of the charges against him which were filed on July 2020.

One the charges were that of shooting a fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion. The Los Angeles County District Attorney told the media.

According to the prosecutors, Tory had three charges that is; assault with a semiautomatic firearm, carrying a loaded unregistered firearm and discharge of a firearm with gross negligence. Tory Lanez was convicted of the above cases.

Tory shot Megan after an intense argument where the two were in a vehicle with Megan's former friend and assistant(Kelsey Harris). The argument was for Megan to come clean of her Intimacy with Tory as he was demanding Megan to do. Megan refused to do so since she knew that Kelsey Harris had a crush on Tory and hence inappropriate for her to open up such matter. This therefore lead to Tory shooting Megan on the foot after she had exited the car.

During his statement to CNN, George Gascón, The Los Angeles County Attorney had this to comment following the verdict given by the Jury,"Megan showed incredible courage and vulnerability during her testimony despite repeated and grotesque attacks.”


“You faced unjust and despicable scrutiny that no woman should ever face and you have been an inspiration to others across LA County and the nation,” he added, referring to Megan.

“Women, especially Black women, are afraid to report crimes like assault and sexual violence because they are too often not believed. This trial, for the second time this month, highlighted the numerous ways that our society must do better for women,” Gascón added, referring to Harvey Weinstein being found guilty of three out of seven charges on Monday.

Gascón also expressed his gratitude to the jurors for “their time and thoughtful deliberation."

Tory didn't stand to defend himself of the charges this being the 9th day of trial.

The jury; five men and seven women, began deliberating on Thursday and a verdict was reached on Friday afternoon.

After the verdict was read, Lanez was taken out of the courtroom by bailiffs in handcuffs. This is according to affiliate of CNN, KCBS.Lanez faces a maximum sentence of 22 years in prison and possible deportation back to his native Canada.
