Oscar Sudi Tries To Calm Any Looming Fallout In Kenya Kwanza Ahead Ruto's Runningmate Unveiling.

The deadline for the presidential candidates to announce their runningmates which is on 16 May 2022 is just days away. However, the two major coalitions in the country namely Kenya Kwanza and Azimio la Umoja have not yet done so. We can only speculate that there are intense negotiations behind the scenes in order to come up with a winning team.

There were reports that both coalitions could announce their Presidential teams today but until now nothing has happened. The two coalitions must also be under intense pressure to finalise this matter since it can't be postponed forever. Today, Oscar Sudi tried to calm Kenya Kwanza supporters after rumors about Ruto's runningmate emerged online.

On his twitter page, the Kapseret Member of Parliament wrote, "In Kenya Kwanza, our priority agenda is to revive our economy no matter who becomes the runningmate. Watu relax."

This statement may be interpreted in very different ways. Sudi may be implying that the Kenya Kwanza supporters are pressuring the coalition to name Ruto's runningmate or he is trying to calm them down before the announcement and urge them to focus on the bigger picture which is positive economic delivery by the next government. He knows that there will probably be a fallout after the announcement.
