The rate of crimes in the country is rapidly escalating, with most of them literally conducted on broad daylight. It is barely three weeks since Kenya Broadcasting Channel (KBC) Journalist Betty Barasa was attacked and shot in a cold blood murder at her Ngong residence.
Yesterday evening. Acclaimed Jela Five Star Actor Ainea Ojiambo popularly known as Ghost was engulfed into an altercation with thugs at the Nairobi CBD along the Moi Avenue. The CCTV footage which later made rounds in the internet showed the veteran actor having a talk with an unknown lady outside a shop before three men accosted him with the intention to rob him.
Ainea unexpectedly unleashed his firearm prompting the criminals to run for their lives. What is astonishing is how unconcerned the passers by were, progressing with their activities amid the near death experience. It was however reported that in the process of firing his gun, the actor accidentally wounded a Security guard who was standing nearby.
Kenyans online have applauded the bold move of the actor stating that his vigilance had indeed saved him from the attack.
