'I Lost My Pregnancy During Our Honeymoon And My Marriage Almost Costed my Dad's Life' Lady Narrates

At the age of 17, Rachel Wainaina was a hawker in the Nairobi streets. She saved some money and enrolled into a college.

After school, she got a job at BBC. She meet with the love of her life who was a hawker by then. Despite her parents not approving the marriage, they still got married in a colorful wedding.

The two love birds went for their honey moon at the husband rural areas.

Unfortunately, Racheal received a beating into the third day of their honeymoon.

“My husband would beat me for no reason. One day, he stripped me naked and threw me out of the house,” she said.

Racheal’s pastor told her to stick in the marriage and pray for her husband.

Her husband was away for five and came on an early morning to attend their friends burial. She escaped a beating by locking herself in the kitchen. She ran to the road but he hit her with a stone on her head. Well wishers rushed her to the hospital where she was admitted for 70 days.

Madam Racheal lost her pregnancy due to depression and severe beating.

“while on the hospital bed, my dad was diagnosed with diabetes which he didn’t have before. When je visited me, he told me that he doesn’t want to die because of me and that I had to leave my marriage. I texted my husband and told him that I am done with him,” she narrated.

The violent man always threatened  to kill her and she decided to report to the OCS at the central police. The OCS was very helpful and warned him against coming closer to Racheal. She became a free woman and begun her life from the lowest.
