Esther Akoth, popularly known by her stage name as Akothee, is a female musician from Kenya. Akothee is undoubtedly one of the most celebrated media personalities in Kenya. She has done collabos with the flamboyant Tanzanian musician Diamond Platnumz. Diamond is allegedly the most successful musician in Sub-Saharan Africa. He is the first musician to attain 5million subscribers on YouTube in Sub-saharan Africa.
Akothee is a single mother of five children who comes from Migori county. Apart from her flourishing music career, Akothee is also a successful entrepreneur. She is the founder of Akothee Safaris, a tours and travel company in Kenya.
Today, the veteran musician was celebrating her birthday as she turned 40 years old. She posted her photos on several social media platforms.
On her Instagram page today, Akothee posted a photo with a man who according to her, brought her one of the best surprises in her entire life. He referred to him as an 'angel.' The man is called Mwaniki Raymond from Peptang Kenya.
She captioned the snap, "And then God sent angels, mmoja wao ni @mwanikiray. The best surprise that ever happened to me in my entire life🤔😭😭. No one has ever surprised me like this🤔😭😭. God bless the house of Peptang @peptang_ke."
The musician also posted the gifts that Mwaniki brought for her. They were a number of fruit juices from Orchid Valley.
The post sparked reactions online as netizens wished the musician a happy belated birthday and wished her long life.
While some fans wished her a happy birthday, a fan by the name Jusper Wendo bashed Akothee claiming that she is old and should therefore quit social media.
