Sauti Sol singer and talented vocalist Savara Mudigi has taken to social media to condemn the brutal murder of Eldoret-based fashion model and LGBTQ activist Edwin Chiloba. Savara said that Chiloba reached out to him before he was murdered.
He shared a screenshot of their last conversation just before New Year's Eve. Chiloba had sent a message to Savara urging him to continue inspiring souls through his soothing music.
Chiloba said he was an ardent fan of Savara and noted that his popular hit song Fashionista encouraged him to continue pursuing his passion in the fashion industry. He went ahead and wished Savara a happy new year.
Savara responded to Chiloba's message by appreciating the accolades and encouraged him to keep pushing on. Little did he know that it was their last conversation.
Chiloba’s body was found stashed in a black metallic box on Wednesday. It was reported that a bodaboda rider spotted a vehicle that was numberless dropping the metal box along the Kipenyo – Kaptinga road.
The matter was reported to Uasin Gishu police who arrived at the scene and upon opening the box, a decomposing body of a man dressed in a woman’s clothes was found inside.
It was later established that the deceased was Eldoret-based fashion designer Edwin Chiloba. This is what Savara posted on Twitter to mourn the murdered model.
