He spent his days hauled up in his parents home in Chivasso with his three siblings, one day he decided to download TikTok and started tinkering with it in his bedroom posting videos of himself under the name Khabane Lame, and a career was born.
At first, like all tiktokers he posted videos of himself dancing to musing, watching vedeo games or doing comedy stunts. Earlier this year he started making fun of the life hack videos that flood social media platforms, reacting to them with a shrug or a look of exasperation and he struck a cord.
Now Lame pronounced as (Lay-May) is the most famous man on Tiktok with 114 million followers. The only other person a head of him is dancer Charli D'Amelio a California teen who posts playful videos often with her older sister Dixie. And Lame who is 21 years does it all without a word, his silence speaks volumes.
"I came up with this idea because I was seeing this videos circulating, and I wanted to bring simplicity to it," Lame told CNN In a recent video interview.
" The type of gesture came by chance but the silence did not. I thought for a way to reach as many people as possible and the best way was not to speak" he added.
