Winnie Rubi popularly known as Awiti is one of the major characters in the drama series titled "Real Househelp of Kawangware" which airs on NTV once a week. She acts as a hostile and unfriendly maid to whoever crosses her lane, not even her boss.
She studied at St. Teresas Girls secondary school and later joined Zetech College where she obtained her diploma in communication Development and social work.
Rubi used to work at an NGO from where she was introduced to Abel Mutua who saw the level of passion and energy and gave her the role in Hapa Kule News. The actress has received endorsement requests which made her financially buoyant. The recent was with Shabiki which made her pocket over 150 000 Kenya shillings.
Awiti was married to Mr. Biladi and they had a daughter together. Later the two separated with the husband claiming that his wife was not any different from the tough bully character she played on TV and that was unpleasant to live with under the same roof.
