Kenyan local music has been dominated by two bands that have shown exemplary performance in music production.

The Sauti Sol music band has not only been an entertainer but also an inspiration to upcoming artists. This music band has grown to the point of founding the Sol Generation, a move to inspire young talents. This has led to the growth of musicians like Nviiri the Storyteller, Bensaul among others.

With a total of over seven hundred thousand youtube subscribers, the band has gained both local and international recognition. This includes their collaboration with Yemi Alade from Nigeria and Ali Kiba of Tanzania. They also had the chance to shoot one of their videos in Las Vegas, the USA of the song famously known as Isabella.
Another rocking music band in Kenya is A-rt the Band. These men, with old school attires, always know the taste of their audience. They have been able to gain a total of one hundred and forty-three thousand subscribers. They also made it to do a music collabo with Sauti sol Music Band last year.
