Otile Brown; The Man behind Just In Love Music

Otile Brown alias Jacob Obunga is a Kenyan born singer songwriter. Otile Brown attributes his name to his skin- complexion, brown or what we commonly call light-skin.

He was born on 21st March 1994. Apparently, he is the last born in a family of four, three brothers and one sister (no wonder he receives so much love.). Otile was raised in Mikindani, Mombasa.

The Kenyan John Legend, as he is commonly referred, started singing and writing as young as thirteen years old.

In 2013, while in Nairobi, he met Kenya's most loved comedian Jalangoo alias Felix Oduor. They had a chit-chat on how Otile can build his talent. Jalangoo advised Otile to concentrate on singing rather than rapping.

He ( Jalangoo) linked him with Dr. Eddie who signed him under his record label, Dreamland Music Entertainment. Jalangoo voluntarily sponsored Otile's first project.

In 2017, he broke ties with Dreamland Music Entertainment and decided to be an independent artist. A decision Dr Eddie, his boss, was not at peace with. Dr. Eddie claimed copyrights and Otile couldn't perform any music recorded under his previous label.

He gained media attention after the release of his hit single "Imaginary Love" featuring the legendary Khaligraph Jones.

His break up with Kenya's socialite, Vera Sidika, was noisy and messy. He's currently seeing Nabayet, an Ethiopian lass who he plans to marry.
