Popular Kamba gospel singer Stephen Kasolo has lost in Mulango ward MCA elections in Kitui county.
Peter Mwanza Kitonyo an independent candidate carried the day by garnering 2,282 votes.
Mwanza famously known as Kyaa Kyolote said that the race was tight and thanked those who stood with him.
He noted that he will work for everyone from tbe ward where they voted foe him or not.
"Thanks to those who stood with me, it is my turn to now do my duty and I promise the people of Mulango that I will do my best to represent them and ensure development, "he said.
Stephen Kasolo who vied on a Chama cha uzalendo party came second with 1571 votes then Josephat Nzamba of Jubilee who os the outgoing got 1269 votes and Alex Munywoki of NARC came fourth with 1215 votes.
Kasolo has already conceded defeat and thanked everyone who stood with him to the las minute.

We ran the race since day one up to the Last day and out of 13 candidates we emerged number 2 with a small margin to the number 1.Mayyou all feel appreciated,however God is on our side and a bright future in politics is my take on triumph ,May the Lord Bless you all,"he wrote on his facebook page.
