Video: Drama in Teso as Man 'Comes Back to Life' Four Weeks After Family Allegedly 'Buried Him'

A 26-year-old man in Teso has shocked the residents of Amukor village after he came back home a few weeks after the family "buried him". The family alleges that their son, Daniel Olima, was shot and killed by police in a robbery incident.

The family went to the mortuary where the alleged body of Daniel Olima was and they confirmed that indeed, it was their son. They brought the body home and buried it according to the Teso customs on the 7th of May last month.

The man has now come back home, alive and well, and the family is confused on how to handle the case. In the compound, rests the grave of the man they buried thinking it was their son.

According to the Teso customs, in such a scenario, there has to be a ritual before the man can be allowed back into the compound. A sheep and a hen has to be slaughtered and take the place of the body that will be exhumed.
