Eric Omondi Odit succumbed to Cancer on Monday, 15th June 2020, at the Bondo Sub County Hospital while undergoing treatment and his body preserved at the Bondo Sub County Hospital Mortuary.
The celebrated luo musician popularly known by his hit song, 'mabiro cha', succumbed after a long period of battling cancer. The disease kept Odit in bed depriving him of his love for music.
He has been laid to rest in a peaceful ceremony that did not have any chaos as opposed to the recent burial of Ohangla maestro, Abenny Jachiga that involved residents running battles with the police.
Eric Omondi has left behind a young family of four; his widow and three school going children.
