"Hi mum, nitumie fare kwa hii number ya nwalimu Peter, atanipatia, " the message read in part.Ngoni says that many parents are likely to receive a similar message.Ngoni says that parents who are not keen may easily fall in the trap of the scammers.
Ngoni runs a Kameme FM program called "Kwigangara" with his co-presenter called Gathaiya Dennis.￼His co-presenter Gathaiya Dennis has asked parents to verify identity of their children before sending any money to their children.He has asked them to use the school phone numbers that they already have to avoid being scammed by unknown individuals.It is important for parents to adhere to such advice to avoid losing money during these hard economic times.
