Winrose Wangui is one of the celebrated news anchors in the kikuyu stations.She is also a gospel artist. She was born in a very low back ground in Nyandarua but raised up in Limuru.

Before the game and money that she has now, she went through alot of struggles while at school and even after school and doing what we could call "odd" jobs to a person like her.

She was first employed as a a house help when she was still in school since her parents could not raise her school fees, but she later went back after working for less than a month and being paid ksh 1500.

After completing form four, she was again employed as a house help and worked for three months. She later relocated to her aunt's place where she started looking for a job and was employed as a salonist, though an untrained one. She had the confidence to do the job since she used to do the hair other girls at school and was used to be paid ksh per head .

She also used to cook githeri and beans and this is where she found a small amount of money for her journalism class but later her mother sold their only cow to raise her school fees.

There was also a time she sold second hand clothes, and also worked as a toilets' cleaner and a receptionist at night.

Her breakthrough came when she joined Njata tv during the digital migration where, after 3 years she got employed at Inooro Tv with a diploma certificate, though she had not even applied for the job because of shame since Inooro tv needed those who had Masters and degrees in their journalism studies.
