If you are a Kikuyu Benga music fan you must have come across SK Maina at some point. He is a Kikuyu renown Benga musician and a social media influencer who moved from grass to fame through hard work and determination back in the days.
He is well known through his succesful hit songs like “Mwendwa Julia and Kiraiku” which are classified under ‘ngogoyo’ music. This was announced by the renown Kikuyu Benga musician Waithaka Wa Jane who is well known for doing cover song on his original songs through his Facebook page.
According to him, he said it is a sad Saturday morning for him to inform Kikuyu community and Kenyans about the demise of his dad and mentor in music SK Maina. He therefore called upon Kenyans to be together with the family in this sad moments as they lay their dad to rest. Kenyans were all over the comments section wishing the Kikuyu legend to rest in eternal peace.
