Maria and Luwi have been on the spotlight after their appearance on the popular Kenyan TV drama series Maria which airs on Citizen Television every weekday at 7:30pm. The duo have been doing a good job and always perfecting their acting skills on each episode.

The drama series got the attention of a multidute of kenyans when it first premiered back in 2019. Shortly after the premier,the country was struck by the novel coronavirus pandemic in 2020 and this brought about the curfew forcing many Kenyans to be in their homes by 7:00pm. With this,many Kenyans got time to watch the series at the comfort of their home with their families.

Recently,the drama series got nominated as the best drama series and it emerged to be the best. Praises came from all over congratulating the cast and crew for the amazing work they put to make the series more interesting.

With this achievement, the whole cast and crew were given a treat to the coast hosted by the Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho. Many sponsors came on board to support the team and give them the best staycation at the Kenyan coast. They had a good time and really enjoyed the two day visit at the coast.
