Lupita Nyong'o; a Kenyan-Mexican actress, revealed her partner to the world in a sweet Instagram video on Friday. Selema Masekela, a TV broadcaster and sports pundit is the lucky recipient.
The duo was clicking along while changing into various ensembles, from swimsuit to formal clothing, in the video, which was set to the song The King's Affirmation on her Instagram post.
"We just click!" Lupita said. Selema also shared a tweet in which he refers to the award-winning actress as his "full and genuine love."
So, who exactly is Selema Masekela? Well, I'm sure his surname sounds familiar, and you're correct. He is the son of a Haitian mother and Hughe Masekela, the South African jazz maestro.
Having traveled the world with his father as a child, he became absorbed in music and, along with Sunny Levine, is the brains behind the Alekesam band.
Selema or Sal as he is often known, began his career as an intern at Transworld Publications in and then worked as an NBA sideline reporter.
Back in South Africa, he is also active in several mentorship programs and manages a non-profit company that feeds meals to pupils at Soweto township schools.
Apart from sports commentary and TV shows, Sal, 51, is also an actor.
